7th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON:
INDUSTRIAL TOOLING

October 1-3, 2008

 

Welcome! The 7th Biennial International Conference on Industrial Tooling (IT’08) will take place October 1-3, 2008. The conference will feature workshops, presentations (both invited and contributed) and a tooling related exhibition. Mississippi State University and the East Mississippi Community College’s Center for Manufacturing Technology Excellence (CMTE) will co-host the conference with sessions held at both locations.

This year the conference will focus on machining including (but not exclusively) the following areas:

  • Coolants / Dry Machining
  • Machine Tool Calibration and Tool Presetting
  • Advances in Cutting Tools
  • Workholding & Fixturing
  • ADI, CGI and machining other specialty cast irons
  • Machining Processes / Deep Hole Drilling
  • Machine Tool / Cutting Tool Condition Monitoring
  • Machined Surface Quality & Functionality (including Residual Stresses)
  • Grinding & Finishing Processes

Contributed presentations are currently being solicited:
            Abstracts due – January 14th 2008
            Notice of abstract acceptance – March 1st 2008
            Full manuscript due – August 1st 2008
            Presentations required to be uploaded by – September 5th 2008
Final manuscripts will be placed on the conference CD along with the invited presentations.
